Engineering

It’s all about the code. If you are a backend, frontend, fullstack, iOS, or Android engineer and want to revolutionize the advertising space for eBay and beyond, we have a role for you. Our team members are building apps, crafting new platforms, and solving complex problems at a massive scale, to offer users the best choice and the most relevance inspired by the most powerful selling platform.

Quality Engineering

It’s not right until you say so. Our Quality Engineers ensure that new releases work as expected for our buyers and sellers, every time. Create end-to-end test plans and then execute them to validate that our solutions have met or exceeded all requirements and business objectives. You are the ultimate gatekeeper of the customer experience.

Product Management

Deliver the end-to-end product experiences that our buyers and sellers love. Your passion is to develop the vision, strategy, and goals to execute our products across teams at eBay. You’ll drive the lifecycle from concept to launch in a way that fosters the growth of our Ads business, enabling buyer discovery and seller velocity.

Sales & Operations

Connect with Sellers and Brands to amplify and grow their business on eBay. You’ll provide strategic consultation on how best to successfully leverage eBay Ads Solutions to achieve their objectives, and work with them to set-up, launch, and optimize campaigns. Together with our partners, we dig deep into our first-party real intent data to uncover unique insights to deliver the right ad experiences to the right user at the right time every time.

Ilana has been with eBay for just under 2 years and currently leads the Ads Public API program. She is excited by the enthusiasm of our partners and customers as they join the Ads team on our journey to help accelerate their businesses.

Ilana describes Advertising’s main goal as being about bringing value to all of our customers; we only show an ad if it benefits both the buyer and seller experience. This makes her feel that she is contributing to a good cause. Outside of work, Ilana likes blogging on her travels around the world, dabbles in photography and teaches home video editing in her community.

Favorite purchase on eBay: An inflatable hot tub, which became her family’s gathering place over the past year with all the quality time spent at home together.

Angela originally started at eBay as one of the first quality engineers on our Android app. Her role has expanded to match her aspirations since, and she now manages teams focused on front-end user interfaces and platform work.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys photography, reading, baking, and spending time with her dog Leo.

Favorite purchase on eBay: A Rollei 35S camera, one of the smallest 35mm film cameras ever made and ideal for travel.

Lauren just started a new role to build a bridge between Ads and the broader eBay business. Favorite purchase on eBay: Vintage Persian rugs - Lauren loves that when she buys a one-of-a-kind item on eBay the seller will include a thoughtful note that tells me a bit about the item and their business. It really helps connect our community of buyers with our community of sellers.
