Welcome to eBay UK, the headquarters and center of operations for all business units in the United Kingdom, including eBay Marketplaces, StubHub, Shutl, and Gumtree.
At our Richmond campus, 400 eBay Marketplaces and Gumtree employees are ensconced in two grand buildings in a tranquil corner of South West London. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, Richmond-upon-Thames is the only London borough situated on both sides of the river. It’s a lovely town with gorgeous river views, cobbled lanes and alleyways, and the Richmond Green — a beautiful green space surrounded by mature trees and stunning period houses. All within 15 minutes of central London. StubHub and Shutl also have offices in greater London.

Our Richmond-on-Thames campus is home to eBay’s UK headquarters at Hotham House and Gumtree just across the way at Hill House. Our Richmond campus teams include engineering, product management, data science and analytics, advertising, legal, finance, and other functions critical to supporting eBay’s UK presence. Founded in 2000, Gumtree — the UK’s leading classified site — enables people to trade everything from cars to home goods, and find jobs, local services, and community events.
Career opportunities abound at our graceful Richmond campus where employees enjoy a variety of health and wellness programmes, monthly massages, onside fitness classes, and daily refreshments. It is a great location for a lunchtime run along the river or a cycle around Richmond Park.
The Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames is conveniently located with ample transportation links into and out of the city center. The borough is home to many tourist attractions, including Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, and Richmond Park — the largest Royal Park in London. Richmond is also a great place to shop and dine with a choice of high-end boutiques and antique shops, and a great selection of restaurants and cafes — many by the river. Our own location has become something of a hotspot for filming activity as of late. Most recently, Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) used our office as a hospital setting for an upcoming television comedy. Our headquarters has also appeared in the television series Mr. Selfridge.
Also around London: StubHub provides exchange services for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and other events. And Shutl gives people complete online control over their deliveries, letting them send and receive packages in as few as 90 minutes — whether by car, van, motorbike, or bicycle.
